    Hi Steven. Those video clips you posted recently are all put in brightcove dot tv. It’s very slow and are even slower than youtube dot com when access from my place. Besides, we are able to visit youtube dot com again in China a couple of days ago. As this Blog is for chinese learner, I think video sharing service in China mainland is the best choice, such as 56 dot com, which you’ve decided early.

    Thanks for your great job again, I really like and enjoy those resource you’ve offered.

    Thank you for your comments.

    As I was saying to Larry in a previous post, the Internet connection here in my dorm room in the UK does not allow direct access to some remote servers. Brightcove dot Tv is perhaps the most handy video sharing site I have, so….

    Have you ever tried to download the videos using a FireFox plugin called “Video Download 2.0″?

    Please try to install it in your own FireFox browser and tell me if it works in China. If the answer is positive, I shall write an entry telling everybody to do so.

    I installed Video Download 2.0 into my Firefox just now . And when I tried to use it to download the video on this page, I got “Sorry but we dont have support yet for downloading videos from the page you have selected.” Then I tested it on youtube dot com, and successfully got a page that contains a download button, but however, is not avaliable as I got “sorry, we dont support your language…” when I clicked it.

    I’m afraid that the Video Download 2.0 is not handy in China.

    On second thought, Forrest, please click on the video and then try to download it from its original Brightcove page. It should work :-)

    Yes, my Firefox if a Chinese version. Here is more details:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; zh-CN; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 (FoxPlus) Firefox/2.0.0.9

    The Video Download 2.0 returned “Sorry but we dont have support yet for downloading videos from the page you have selected.”again when I use it to download the video clip on the original Brightcove page.

    Dear Forrest, please install an English version FireFox. I am using an English version FF, it works just fine.
