报道中的“surveillance camera”指的是“监测探头”，也就是我们日常所说的“电子眼”或“摄像头”。
此外，马路上拍摄违章车辆的“电子眼（电子警察/摄像头）”一般表达为“road safety camera”或“red-light camera”。
